Joey D. Edge is an entrepreneur, biotechnology executive, and business strategist with more than 35 years of experience founding, developing, and leading companies across biotechnology, healthcare, real estate, hospitality, and technology. Throughout his career, he has focused on identifying emerging opportunities, assembling specialized teams, developing innovative business models, and transforming early-stage concepts into commercially viable enterprises.

Joey began his entrepreneurial career in 1991 with the founding of Edge Real Estate. Over the following decades, his business interests expanded through Edge Holdings into commercial real estate development, internet technology companies, hospitality, and the development, ownership, and operation of a premier golf and spa resort.

His transition into biotechnology and healthcare began in 2013 when he founded Genesis Global, focusing on emerging medical technologies and advanced peptide biochemistry. Joey and his former partner, Chanda Zaveri hold a US patent for a Growth Hormone Releasing Factor (GHRF) used to induce endogenous growth hormone secretion. The work at Genesis Global ultimately led to the formation of Vitalgenics and two distinct areas of biotechnology development: Vitalgenics–Oncology and Vitalgenics Stem Cells & Biologics.

Vitalgenics–Oncology

Vitalgenics–Oncology was established to develop novel small-molecule cancer technology. As founder and Chief Executive Officer, Joey assembled and led a multidisciplinary scientific and medical team that included researchers and physicians affiliated with MD Anderson at the University of Texas and the University of Louisville.

The team’s work centered on the development of Excindogen, a novel therapeutic compound developed for pancreatic cancer. Joey directed the business and strategic development of the program, including scientific collaboration, intellectual property strategy, regulatory planning, financing, strategic partnerships, and commercialization planning.

The Excindogen program successfully completed its required preclinical development milestones, received FDA Orphan Drug Designation for pancreatic cancer, and advanced to the Investigational New Drug (IND) application stage, positioning the technology for progression toward first-in-human clinical development upon completion of the necessary financing.

The experience provided Joey with an extensive working understanding of the challenges involved in moving emerging biotechnology from scientific discovery through intellectual property development, regulatory strategy, capitalization, and ultimately commercialization.

Vitalgenics Stem Cells & Biologics

While developing biotechnology in oncology, Joey became an early adopter and advocate of the rapidly evolving field of regenerative medicine. His involvement with stem cell technologies, cellular therapies, exosomes, peptides, and biologics ultimately led to the development of Vitalgenics Stem Cells & Biologics in 2018.

Vitalgenics was built around a fundamental principle: exceptional regenerative technologies alone are not enough. Physicians also need education, dependable product sourcing, clinical and operational support, patient education, marketing resources, and a viable business model that allows advanced regenerative medicine to become a sustainable part of their practices.

Today, Joey’s primary focus through Vitalgenics is helping physicians successfully enter and grow within regenerative medicine.

Vitalgenics works with practitioners to provide access to advanced regenerative biologics and emerging technologies while helping them understand how those technologies can be responsibly incorporated into physician-directed patient care. The organization supports practitioners with product education, clinical education, practice-development resources, patient communication strategies, operational systems, and business support.

An equally important part of the Vitalgenics mission is helping physicians address one of the greatest challenges facing independent medical practices: how to transition appropriate services from the limitations of traditional insurance reimbursement into a sustainable cash-pay model.

Rather than simply supplying regenerative products, Vitalgenics seeks to become a long-term strategic resource for its physician partners.

The objective is to help practitioners understand not only what regenerative medicine technologies are available, but also how to successfully integrate them into an existing medical practice, educate patients, develop appropriate treatment offerings, create recurring patient relationships, and build a profitable cash-pay regenerative medicine business.

This physician-centered approach recognizes that many physicians are exceptional clinicians but have never been provided the business infrastructure, marketing knowledge, product education, or operational systems necessary to successfully build a cash-pay practice.

Vitalgenics is designed to help bridge that gap.

Through physician education, biologic and technology access, regenerative medicine resources, practice-development strategies, and ongoing support, Joey’s goal is to help practitioners develop regenerative medicine programs that are scientifically informed, patient-focused, operationally sound, and economically sustainable.

His broader vision is to help create a nationwide network of independent physicians and medical practices capable of delivering advanced regenerative and longevity medicine while maintaining greater control over the physician-patient relationship and reducing dependence on conventional reimbursement models.

Throughout his career, Joey has also remained committed to servant leadership and community involvement. He has served on numerous local, state, and national nonprofit and faith-based boards and has participated in initiatives focused on combating human trafficking, forced labor, and the exploitation of vulnerable populations.

Today, his work is centered on bringing together biotechnology, regenerative medicine, physician education, and practice development to help physicians participate successfully in the rapidly evolving future of personalized and regenerative healthcare.

SCOTT FAULKNER, MD

Chief Medical Officer | Internal Medicine Physician | Regenerative Medicine Pioneer | Longevity & Precision Healthcare Leader

Dr. Scott Faulkner is a board-certified internal medicine physician, regenerative medicine pioneer, and healthcare innovator with more than three decades of clinical experience spanning internal medicine, concierge healthcare, hospital medicine, sleep medicine, and advanced regenerative therapeutics. Throughout his distinguished career, he has remained committed to delivering highly personalized, patient-centered care while continually seeking innovative approaches that address the underlying causes of disease rather than simply managing symptoms. A Colorado native, Dr. Faulkner completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Berkshire Medical Center, affiliated with the University of Massachusetts. In 1999, he achieved Board Certification in Internal Medicine and was appointed Chief of Internal Medicine at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, where he provided comprehensive medical care while leading one of the military’s internal medicine departments. This early leadership role established a foundation of clinical excellence, operational leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration that would define his medical career. Returning to Colorado in 2001, Dr. Faulkner established a highly successful internal medicine practice in Fort Morgan while simultaneously founding a specialized Sleep Disorder Center that ultimately expanded to multiple locations throughout Colorado, including Greeley and Colorado Springs. Through this expansion, he developed extensive expertise in practice development, physician leadership, and comprehensive patient management while earning a reputation for providing exceptional clinical care. Following the successful sale of his medical practice, Dr. Faulkner served for seven years as a hospitalist with Rural Physicians Group, providing acute inpatient medical care across numerous hospitals throughout Colorado. This experience further broadened his expertise in managing complex medical conditions while reinforcing the importance of continuity of care, chronic disease management, and multidisciplinary treatment approaches. In 2017, Dr. Faulkner founded VIP Healthcare, a concierge medical practice in Castle Rock, Colorado, where he returned to a personalized model of medicine centered on extended physician-patient relationships, comprehensive preventive care, and individualized treatment strategies. The concierge model allowed him to spend significantly more time with each patient, focusing not only on treating disease but also on optimizing long-term health, wellness, and quality of life. Long before regenerative medicine became widely recognized, Dr. Faulkner recognized the extraordinary potential of stem cell therapies, biologics, peptide therapeutics, and cellular medicine to fundamentally transform healthcare.
